Successful Call for Papers: 215 Abstracts Received
The call for papers was very successful and underlines the attractiveness of the DEWEK 2010 in Bremen. With 215 abstracts the result of the DEWEK 2008 conference has been surpassed by 27 %. We very much thank the authors from 21 countries for their contributions.
57 papers deal with topic 4 "New and further developments, validation of and experiences with simulation models", followed by 38 abstracts for topic 8 "Offshore". As planned, the final evaluation by the Scientific Committee have been done in a meeting at the mid of June 2010.
As always, the duration of the German Wind Energy Conference is restricted to two days. In view of the large number of contributions and in order to give as many scientists as possible the opportunity to give a lecture, three sessions in parallel must be held. These parallel sessions and the clearly structured programme make it possible to present 105 papers in 21 thematic sessions within the two conference days. These are two sessions and 10 papers more than at DEWEK 2008.
All authors were notified about the results by the mid of July and the preliminary conference programme (incl. the registration form) will be published in August.
